Rick Broussard front man of the famous band Two Hoots and a Holler. Together with his guitar, vocals and the rhythm section, made up of Brendan Ryan and Scott French. Two Hoots and a Holler have become one of the best bands of Austin Texas. Winning the AUSTIN CHONICLE MUSIC AWARD for BEST ROOTS- ROCK BAND 7 times. You never really know who you might catch making an appearance with the Hoots. In the past many notables of the Austin music scene played in the band such as Charlie Robison from Chaparral and The Millionaire Playboys, John Reed and the most recent Hooter Pete Gordon of Mojo Nixon fame. The people who frequent the Hoot's shows have also produced several momentary members to the band. These additions range from people like Brian Setzer to Charlie Sexton. During they're European tour the band made quite a splash. Their CD is sold all over Europe and is found in many of the juke boxes. They now have quite a following of foreign fans. Specially in Finland and Scandinavia, Two Hoots and a Holler made many new fans and friends during their tour. They look forward to going back.
The band's popularity has also helped them secure a spot in a University of Texas Student film aptly named, "Step Fast",the name of a song from their CD No Man's Land . This is only one of the projects Two Hoots and a Holler have undertaken to boost them into the national spotlight. They have been named Best Roots Rock Band in the Austin Chronicle Music Awards.
